Girls learn to make things for their dolls. They sew doll clothes with sewing machines. They make realistic miniature doll foods out of Sculpey® clay. They can also make a doll handbag, doll flower wreath, or bedding. A loom is set up for weaving rugs and blankets.
Helga Motley is holding this popular camp for the 14th summer. Four different weeks are scheduled for the summer. Class size is kept small, to 6 kids, so reserve space early. It's a great way for friends to come together to learn and play.
Helga sewed her own clothes for many years and wants to re-skill today's kids. Making things yourself is empowering and exciting. The doll clothes are designed and cut out ahead of time, so the girls can focus on the sewing.
All skill levels are welcome, including inexperience. Girls who have already attended classes can gain more skills by doing more complicated projects.
