Open Play Week Dates:
June 18-22
August 27-31
At the beginning and at the end of the summer, Helga holds a week with a variety of activities to sample. The purpose of the Open Play weeks is to ease into summer, and to wind down at the end of the summer before school starts back up.
A large room will be filled with miniature playmobil scenes to spark imaginative play. The small size of doll world will also be set up (but not the American Girl doll world).
There will be soft non-hardening colorful clay on the deck with which kids can make scenes that can be taken home.
The kitchen has tools with sculpey polymer clay. That clay gets baked and turns hard. It's used to make small figures, or the very popular doll foods, for which Helga is famous.
A second large room has all the legos out to build with. Lots of instruction books and sheets are on hand. Plus, Helga is always ready to help a project along. Because the Legos are sorted into separate bins by their type of shape, building with Legos is made easier.
Kids can attend for 2 hours, for an afternoon, or for the whole week.
